Every type of exercise has its selling points. But Michael Miller recommends swimming.  It’s unlike any other aerobic workout in several important ways.

Since you’re submerged in water, the pressure is off your joints and muscles allowing you to move about freely.  The coolness of the water makes workouts much more comfortable than running or cardio exercises.

Moving through water puts more pressure on your body and it’s more evenly distributed than other exercises.  It fires up more of your body’s major muscle groups as well.  A good swim engages your arms and legs but also your core and back.  Working those back muscles can help improve your posture, relieve back pain and prevent injuries.

Finally, people who swim tend to stick with their exercise program.  It’s fun to do without all the stiffness and pain associated with other exercises.  Michael Miller started years ago and wouldn’t work out any other way.  Plus, don’t you just love his swimmer’s physique?
