Rush Limbaugh purchased 250 feet of ocean front property as a vacation property in 1998 for $3.9 million. Rush acquired a few neighboring lots, built 4 additional structures for guests and to house his radio studio. He called it “Southern Command.”
That property recently sold for $155 million setting a record for the Palm Beach area.
Rush and wife Katheryn moved from New York to Palm Beach full time in 2010.

Rush loved the pool, the beach and the laid back beach front lifestyle, even though he complained on the air about how the Palm Beach area come to a stand still when baby turtles hatched each year and headed for the water.
The Backyard Bay behind Rush’s home featured a large rectangular swimming pool where one could kick back, get some rays and feel the warm ocean breezes on your face. Rush could also practice his short game on a nearby putting green.
Rush Limbaugh passed away in 2021 at the age of 70. At the time of his death, Rush ‘s income was estimated at $33 million per year with a net worth of over $600 million. Not bad for the “big voice on the right” broadcasting each weekday from Southern Command.
